Some notable quotes as I read through the transcript of the press conference:
You can say that again:
"""The "Mission Accomplished" sign, of course, was put up by the members of the USS Abraham Lincoln, saying that their mission was accomplished. I know it was attributed some how to some ingenious advance man from my staff -- they weren't that ingenious, by the way."""
(he blamed the crew of the aircraft carrier? that is a unique spin!)
What the heck is a...
"""that the will of the United States can be shaken by suiciders -- and suiciders who are willing to drive up to a Red Cross center, a center of international help and aid and comfort, and just kill. """
(suicider????)
We are more peaceful and free
"""I'll say that the world is more peaceful and more free under my leadership, and America is more secure."""
And finally, a bonus Bushism from Slate
"The ambassador and the general were briefing me on the—the vast majority of Iraqis want to live in a peaceful, free world. And we will find these people and we will bring them to justice."—Washington, D.C., Oct. 27, 2003
One should try and watch a video clip of Bush's latest press conference to get the full flavor of our lamentable president. Transcripts just don't do it justice
Check out this great satire of Bush's conference: http://www.dissidentvoice.org/Articles9/Amr_Bush-Speech.htm
If you haven't seen or read the entire transcript of the actual conference, indulge a little in that sort of masochism to really appreciate this satire piece.

Thanks for the link...I will take a look at it when I get a chance. Watching the press conferences is very challenging, because dubya speaks in 3 or 4 word sentences, which I find distracting, because it takes too many sentences to complete a simple thought.
However, I do enjoy when he pulls off a catch phrase or expression (without fumbling over the words), and then he turns to the camera and crowd and gives his goofy smile...its the same kind of look my dog does when he executes a proper sit or down, and he knows a treat is coming. Bush must know Karl Rove is going to give him a treat when he is done speaking.
