What is with all this crap that the Republicans are supposedly reaching across the aisle (starting with Bush) and that we need to work together?
I'm sorry, Bush and his campaign and minions repeatedly lied about the candidate, lied about the candidate's position, lied about the state of the economy and the world, lied about terror threat levels, implied that if we voted for Kerry, we would die, sent out the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, and basically ran the most negative and cynical campaign in history.
And now I am supposed to want to accept their olive branch?
In the words of Dick Cheney, they can go fuck themselves.
Democrats should NOT reach across the aisle (I mean, be civil and friendly with your friends and neighbors - reasonable people can disagree - I am speaking as a political power party).
Don't compromise with Republicans unless its for gain.
Use those knives in the back that Democrats received and give them back in triplicate.
When the time comes, we must not be afraid to sling mud. They did it with Max Cleland. We will target Republicans in the House and Senate for elimination from their seats with similar tactics if need be.
But most importantly, make it clear to the world that the Republicans hold the House, Senate, White House, and soon the Supreme Court.
What goes wrong belongs to them. No excuses. They have all the power. They have all the control.
Let that power sink them like the albatross it will be around their necks.
And, my friends, remember that all the things they screw up - we can start fixing it in 2 years.
