I usually don't care about celeb trials, but since this is a law blog (at times), I should post a prediction about the Jackson verdict, since it will be read shortly.
I predict a bizarre compromise....one that finds Michael Jackson not guilty on the actual lewd act/minor under 14 years old, but on some of the other charges as attempted lewd act and administering alcohol to minor.
Woops...better publish before people think I was cherry picking the verdict.
Guilty was what all the people I talked with had to say. But weather guilt or inocent is to be discovered we must remember that presentation of defense or prosecution is what turns a jury. The best actor/lawyer wins!
But in this case, a mentially ill mother did more for the defense then a squad of lawyers!
Last but not least, MJ is a 48 year old KID! This sad case will never be trusted near or around kids for the rest of his strange life.

Somehow I wish they could have found one minor infraction, instead of all the not guilty verdicts. I couldn't have found him guilty without a doubt on the molestation part...although I watched none of the trial reports, one couldn't escape the nightly news comments. I have always felt that someone in his family or his hoard of 'hangers on' should let him know it is sick for him to sleep with little boys.
Unfortunately I presume they all leach off of him for support so they will continue to let him go through life as a misfit. He was once a good entertainer, but now his personality has overshadowed everything he has accomplished.

I KNEW he was innocent. While, admittedly,he is kinda weird,he's NO pedophile!
His music was really good and I hope he can make a comeback. GOOD LUCK,MICHAEL!
